How to Overcome a Negative Mindset

Introduction:

So let’s help you by giving you three tips in a story. I started my photography journey over 10 years ago using tips found on the internet and taking classes when I could between being a full time student and having a part time job. Anything in the visual arts field in those days were not with a stable income. So I started a side hustle. I did three things to reach my goals and level up.

One of those things that I focus on through daily mindset practices is my positive mindset.

With that said, here are 3 ways you can start changing your mindset! πŸ‘Š

1. Tell your story to your followers!

When you show your true authentic self to your followers including how you got started and how it is going, you make more connections. These connections are with positive individuals, when you surround yourself with positivity, it can increase how you feel. These feelings are important to define what makes you happy.

2. Focus on Daily Goals & Baby Steps

There is nothing wrong with making yearly and monthly goals, but those are definitely too far out to crash your mindset. When you focus on your mindset for that day, it builds your ability to change how you feel based on what you do. For example, if you hate taking out the garbage very early in the morning because it is cold; this can be changed. The hate you feel causes a negative mindset, so changing when you take out the garbage can increase your mood around the task.

Let's apply this to business, if your monthly financial goal is 5k, the only way to reach it is to focus how to make $167 a day. The idea of breaking down the larger goals make the goals more attainable, which leads to a happier mindset since you are reaching more goals. If you make $300 one day and no money another it shouldn't create a negative mindset since its still meeting your goals.

3. Understand What Causes Negative Mindset

What it boils down to is what makes you happy, what makes you miserable and reducing the amount of negative activities that lead to a negative mindset. Just because you spilled your coffee on your favorite shirt before an important meeting doesn't mean the rest of the day will be bad. How you react to the negatives defines how positive your mindset is.
